Day 1: Arrival at Pousada Piuval

• Distance: 107 km from Cuiabá (departure at 08:00 AM).

• Check-in: Learn about the lodge and its amenities.

• Lunch: Served at 11:30 AM.

• Afternoon Activity: Photographic Safari (15:30 - sunset).

  • Wildlife to spot: capybaras, caimans, deer, rheas, hyacinth macaws, coatis, turtles, lizards, monkeys, and possibly jaguars.

• Night Safari: Starts at 18:00 (1–1.5 hours).

  • Nocturnal wildlife to spot: jaguars, ocelots, pumas, armadillos, owls, and foxes.

Day 2: Morning at Pousada Piuval, Transfer to Pousada Berço Pantaneiro

• Morning Activities:

  • Dawn Safari: Search for giant and lesser anteaters.

  • Breakfast: Served post-safari.

  • Horseback Ride: Duration of 1–1.5 hours.

    • Wildlife to spot: capybaras, caimans, monkeys, lizards, rheas, and birds.

• Afternoon Transfer:

  • Departure from Pousada Piuval: At 13:00.

  • Destination: Pousada Berço Pantaneiro via Transpantaneira park road (145 km).

  • En Route Safari: Photographic safari with chances to spot capybaras, caimans, rheas, peccaries, coatis, anacondas, and possibly jaguars.

  • Arrival and Dinner: Check-in at Pousada Berço Pantaneiro.

Day 3: Boat Ride and Wildlife Observation

• Full-Day Activity:

  • Motorized boat ride with sun protection and a radio transmitter for safety.

  • Depart after breakfast and return at sunset.

  • Goal: Maximize opportunities to spot jaguars and other native species.

  • Wildlife to spot: jaguars, monkeys, capybaras, caimans, iguanas, anacondas, otters, and a variety of birds.

Day 4: Return Journey

• Morning:

  • Departure: After breakfast at 07:00.

  • Photographic Safari: Along the Transpantaneira to Poconé, Northern Pantanal’s capital.

• Lunch: Traditional Pantaneira barbecue in Poconé.

• Return to Cuiabá: Arrival at approximately 15:00.
